CAN I USE THEM ON A WOODEN DECK?
NO, furthermore use on a non flammable surface such as concrete, paving or gravel. If on grass i suggest either bedding in paving slabs or filling in a cut out area with gravel.
WILL THE FIRE PIT STAIN THE SURROUNDING AREA?
The fire pit will have run off from the rain and the resulting rust patina will stain the area on which it sits.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY FIRE PIT?
This depends on the design, these are hand made and some components first have to be made elsewhere in the UK, your looking between 10 days to 4 weeks depending on the design.
HOW IS IT DELIVERED?
The pit will be sent by courier and will need to be signed for, it will be bound to a used wooden pallet using biodegradable rope not swathes of plastic! You will need help in getting it into its spot, some are heavy.
WHAT ABOUT RETURNS?
This covers damaged or defective products only, if so i would repair and re send if that was the customers wish, obviously at my expense although these robust products are always checked before they are sent.
HOW ARE MAGMAFIREPITS DIFFERENT?
You get what you pay for, most commercial fire pits and extremely thin and rust through in no time, we use at least 5mm steel, including legs etc, from UK stockholders, i like to support the UK economy.
ALL UK MADE?
Yep!
DO YOU HAVE TO BUILD THE FIRE PIT?
No i believe that the fire pit should be solid and robust. Apart from Tecton.
WHAT ABOUT MAINTENANCE?
As all the fire pit is at least 5mm thick the steel will weather in time with a rusty patina so no maintenance is necessary. I suggest it is cleaned out after each use so that any moisture is not held in the ashes.
HOW LONG WILL MY FIRE PIT LAST?
Because of the thick steel used the fire pit will last a lifetime and comes with a warranty of 8 years.
Other options of Corten weathering steel (Corten steel will rust until it weathers and develops a protective patina) and Stainless steel will last many lifetimes!
WHAT ABOUT PAINTED FIRE PITS?
High temperature paints do burn off after time so we dont use them, however if this is your wish please contact us and it can be done as a costed extra @ £50 – £70.
HOW STEADY ARE THE FIRE PITS?
Our Fire Pits are VERY steady. They are designed to be as safe as possible so they won’t tip.
WHAT IS THE WEIGHT?
As we use at least 5mm steel the pits are heavy , they range from xxxi to xxxk.
DO YOU OFFER BESPOKE WORK?
Yes, our history is based on custom bespoke metalwork, see the links page!

Fire Pit safety
I want everyone to enjoy the fire pit experience but fire is highly unpredictable, and it can take less than a second for a fire to flare up where its not wanted!
Children
1/ Children ALWAYS must be supervised, the metal will be VERY hot, Do not leave children unattended, keep children a safe distance from the fire pit, they are not to play with it.
2/ Make sure the fire pit is well away from buildings, fences and overhanging foliage, place no less than 3m or 10’ from any building or structure.
3/ ALWAYS have a bucket of water to hand to dampen down the flames if necessary.
Wood only
4/ DO NOT use coal or charcoal these are intended for dry wood only, coal will get far too hot and will void the warranty.
5/ Use OUTDOOR only in a fully vented position, not in an enclosed area, not for indoor heating!
6/ Place on a suitable level surface that is non combustable such as stone concrete, paving slabs or gravel, DO NOT use on a wooden deck and a grass base will get scorched.
Dont be stupid!
7/ NEVER EVER EVER! use flammable liquid to start the wood fire such as lighter fuel, petrol, alcohol etc. This is incredibly irresponsible, dangerous and stupid! A fire could flare out of control! People get badly burnt from this misuse!! Commercial fire lighters are best not paper or leaves, too smokey!
From misuse ( from feb 2015 USA, “The friends were celebrating a birthday, one of them stoked the fire. It appears they used gasoline on the flames. The fire rose up the gas fumes, into the gas can causing an explosion. The fire man also said gasoline should never be poured on a flame.” )
Clothing
8/ Keep away from flammable materials.
9/ Keep clothing and flammable materials ( fancy dress ?) away from the fire pit, indeed do not lean over the fire pit or wear hanging garments.
10/ DO NOT put closed containers on the fire as they could explode!
11/ Be aware of the weather conditions, DO NOT use when windy or in very dry conditions.
Still hot?
12/ Do not move when pit or embers are still hot and not extinguished.
13/ DO NOT over fill the fire pit, only add more wood when the fire has settled down, dont stack up wood so it can topple over both in the pit and in storage.
Drinking
14/ Fire pits and drinking are not a good mix, keep the drinking area separate from the fire area, keep a safe distance and make sure there are no obstacles to trip over, its very irresponsible to over indulge especially when children are also around, your judgement could be
impaired.
15/ Light about an hour before you intend to enjoy the fire pit so that its not too smokey.
16/ SEE 1/ AND 7/!!!!!
